Travel, Stay, Eat and Do

Travel

If you're jetting in from afar, we recommend making  Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport your destination. From there downtown Baltimore is a 30 minute car ride away. We recommend against flying into National Airport or Dulles Airport unless sitting in traffic is your thing.

If you're more of a train person, Amtrak will deliver you to Baltimore's Penn Station in the heart of the city.

Will I need a rental car? Car services are abundant and quick in Baltimore but a car can be helpful if you have a packed itinerary. Just keep in mind that parking in some areas can be a challenge.

Eat, Drink and Do

Here's a map of things to eat, drink, and do. Perhaps it will help you narrow down lodging options.

Lodging

To truly enjoy your stay, we recommend staying at a hotel or vacation rental (AirBNB, VRBO, etc.) in Baltimore City proper. You will have access to an abundance of excellent dining options and cultural destinations. We're happy to provide our thoughts on anyplace place that you find.
